Yesterday, I received a sneering email from an obviously partisan campaign group which implied that the Big Society is about nothing more than people giving their time. I beg to differ. If society is "the sum of human conditions and...

In an email sent this afternoon, Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg has written about his trip to Afghanistan and Pakistan. Earlier this week this week I went to Afghanistan and Pakistan to see for myself the problems and challenges that those countries face. The coalition government is committed to playing our part to helping ensure

Ken Livingstone’s email to London Labour members 27/8/10 Dear colleague, Of the election campaigns I have fought, the one I want to fight next is the most important for London’s future. Real progress means working out what’s needed, not just what media pundits tell us is possible. That’s always been my approach, and it’s why my campaign is

I received the following via email from a knowledgeable Brit overnight, and I contacted the author and received his permission anonymously to post his view of my post yesterday on the RUSI article.  My responses are interspersed in bold. Dear Mr McGrath, I read your comments on the Information Dissemination website regarding the RUSI paper on the future of the Royal Navy and I have to disagre...

I don't know if any of you have ever received the following chain email, I got sent it a few months back: If you cross the North Korean border illegally you get 12 years hard labour. If you cross the Iranian border illegally you are detained indefinitely.... The reality for the UK is unfortunately much worse.

It seems that some people outside the Labour Party are following my NEC campaign. I've been forwarded a copy of this email: "From: Justin Hinchcliffe Subject: CLP shocker Date: Monday, 2 August, 2010, 13:48 Tottenham CLP has nominated the ever-so right wing Luke Akehurst for the NEC. A Tottenham Tory spokesman said: "Of the 3 major parties here in Tottenham, it's clear that the Conservative are - ...

Total Politics Blog Poll 2010 Voting closes tomorrow in the Total Politics blog poll for 2010. Posting on this blog has been patchy of late, so clearly you should not feel any overwhelming urge to vote for me ten times in a row, let alone twelve dozen times from specially set up puppet email addresses; that would be egregious. But, irrespective of which blogs you have particularly enjoyed over the last twelve months, do go ove...
