German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Nicolas Sarkozy will hold a preparatory bilateral meeting on 9 January in Berlin to discuss ahead of the upcoming EU summits at the end of the month. The FT reports that talks will include discussion for a ‘road map’ to Eurobonds after the European Parliament put forward such a proposal last week.
