A referendum ? On the diktats from out Brussels masters ? Not allowed, impossible, pointless, its the wrong time - oh hold on you can do it after all. All that's required is for the politicians to be more frightened of their people than their EU masters. Food for thought. Greece joins Iceland in demanding the opportunity to be sovereign.

Local Authorities who lost money with the Icelandic banks include Kent county council with £50m; Nottingham city council, £42m; Norfolk county council, £32.5m; Dorset county council, and Hertfordshire county council, both £28m. Fifteen police forces and numerous charities also lost their investments in Iceland.
