Dale sets tone for Thatcher demise Once upon a time, Recess Monkey was duped into thinking that Margaret Thatcher had passed away. At the time, I didn’t know what to think. I had an emotional up-welling of frustration that she had never been held to account for her direct attacks on working communities and her engineering of a “me-first” society, which we

Recess Monkey and Labour Home blogger Alex Hilton has come up with an absolutely priceless suggestion to smooth over Vibrator Tories Hooky Sleaze Gate. Answering this strange post from an unfamiliar voice, first time poster MTombs claiming an unnamed Tory PPC (or ward candidate perhaps? others have assumed PPC) suggested "all immigrants should be shot" and that Gordon should NOT apologise, Alex su...

More right-wing gobshite from posterboy Dan Hannan MEP (hat-tip Recess Monkey), this time (from 5:30 in the clip) why the NHS is a bad thing. No mention of the 40 million Americans without healthcare, or rationing by private insurance companies.

That cheeky scamp Alex Hilton, Labour’s candidate for Chelsea and Fulham at the next General Election aka Recess Monkey has got two polls going at the moment. On RM he asks: By Spring 2009, George Osborne will be… * Shadow Home Secretary * Chairman of the Conservative Party

All is not well in Torydom Conservativehome raises two issues today that I felt Recess Monkey readers should know about. Firstly, Tory Harrow Councillor Eileen Kinnear (pictured) has been expelled from Harrow Conservative Group. Just thought you should know. Though I have no idea what she did to piss off the Harrow Tory hierarchy. The Tories have also cancelled their selection of a parliamentary

Hilton on Morphine, Making as Much Sense as Usual Have just spoken with Alex Hilton (the blogger formally known as Recess Monkey). He seems to be optimistic he will be home for the weekend. Clearly Draper will have to smear him with something more lethal than bacterial meningitis. Do not worry too much for him on his hospital sick-bed, at one point it was surrounded by his girlfriend, his mother and three ex-girlfriends. According to his updated ...

Earlier this week I discussed the spat and subsequent making up between Alex Hilton of Labourhome and Derek Draper of Labour List. Recess Monkey tells us that Alex has contracted bacterial meningitis and been admitted to hospital. He is currently in isolation ward but should be moved to a general ward in the next few days. I wish him a swift recovery. Meanwhile Labour List has linked to one of my ...

A note for people to send good wishes to Alex Hilton I am surprised no one has done this and I hope I am not out of order for suggesting it, but in case some of you don't know, Alex has been admitted to hospital with bacterial maningitis, the good news is that it looks like he will make a full recovery. Our thoughts go out to him esp, as Tom Harris has said on the Recess Monkey blog, he has h...
