In a bid to help bridge the e-Safety gap between school and home, three Local Authorities including Englands largest, Birmingham City Council, have partnered with Forensic Software Limited, manufacturers of the e-Safety product Policy Central Enterprise (PCE) to offer all parents of school age children within its jurisdiction a free e-safety product for in-home use.

Apparently, the graphics designer responsible opened an online folder of Birmingham West Midlands images and picked one that looked nice but had been misfiled as it was of Birmingham Alabama in the USA. One of the biggest mass demonstrations seen in Birmingham for years was being staged by city council workers this afternoon. Trade Unions were expecting up to 1,000 council employees to pack Victoria Square in the city at lunchtime in a protest over swingeing pay cuts.
