Following its revelatory front page story this morning about the Conservative Party not having enough women in front line positions - conveniently ignoring the fact that its new President is one Emma Pidding - I can exclusively reveal that the editor of The Times has ordered his own lobby team to get their own act in order. The Times reflects on David Cameron's lack of women on the front bench. David Cameron has lined up an all-male team to attack Labour over the economy, raising concerns within his own ranks that he has downgraded his pledge to promote women in the Conservative Party. A high-profile female parliamentary candidate said: “The fact that there are not more women in the inner circle inevitably...

Conservative housing spokesman Grant Shapps said: "It is quite clear that many women are becoming trapped in the vicious cycle of hidden homelessness. "The lack of adequate hostel provision and the shocking increase in waiting lists for social housing reflects the failure of the state to ...

The UK is the only country in the west where women vote more conservatively than men. In the US, Italy, Spain, France, Canada etc. women always swing elections for social democratic or liberal parties. But in the UK, women always swing elections for conservative parties. Can anyone shed any light on this?

The Conservative party is to become "a beacon of best practice" for equal pay and family-friendly hours, it promised today, as Theresa May unveiled the party's new priorities for women. Launching a report titled Women in the World Today, the shadow minister for women said more must be done to secure real equality. "As a party, we want to do everything we can to help this progression continue," she...
