LPUK 140 (6.9%) Tory 930 (46.2) Lab 212 (10.5) Social Democrats196 (9.7) Ukip 532 (26.4) From nowhere to a near seven per cent of the Vote for the first outing of the LPUK in an Election. Andrew Hunt was actively out on the doorstep campaigning, none of the other parties bothered. Congratulations Andrew on a very credible showing.

I am a Libertarian Party member, yet I am advocating voting for UKIP at the EU joke elections. Why? Here is why. LPUK have taken the honest, correct and principled stand of not standing in those elections. This brings a number of benefits. a) It won't be corrupted by the EU system that is designed to corrupt. b) LPUK will focus on the elections that truly matter. The UK one's. c) It is i...

The NCC of the LPUK offered to put a speaker up alongside the raft of speakers from the Left, the Social (Lib) Dems, the Greens, UKIP and the Conservatives. The offer was not actually declined but just ignored, but thanks received for advertising the event on our various websites.

UKIP I had to make a choice. LPUK are closer to my ideological position, but right now, I don't feel it is ready to make an impact. UKIP is pretty close (with the odd disagreement), but the thought of Knaphill not having a serious alternative to the LibLabCon/EU was not tolerable for me. So I am running for UKIP, but you can think of me as a Libertarian UKIPer. If you want less government int...

In 2007, the LPUK was born out of a total frustration with the 'Big Brother' State, and the seeming non existant opposition to the Government by the Tories and Social Democrats. The LPUK was the first Party born out of the 'Net' The Political Blogs were the only force that was consistantly exposing graft, corruption, expense fiddling and incompetance of Big State, High Tax Gover...

Nigel Farage takes a swipe at LPUK, and perhaps one of our members personally here, claiming that we are a bunch of disgruntled ex-UKIP’ers. Sorry, Nigel, but that is nonsense ~ my distain for UKIP has been well and truly documented on this blog, and apart from DK, I don’t think any of the other founders

…..but it favours the continuation of a Labour government even less positively than that. David Davis What we would like is a LPUK government (despite the fact that the LA takes no party-political position on this matter) or, in default of that, a UKIP one which nasty Libertariano-Gramsistio-inverted-Marxists like me could, slightly possibly, subvert and direct into

I am aware that there is a flame war going on various blogs notably OH and DK on the subject of Israel/Palestine/Hamas/right to self defence etc etc. Somewhere along the line the LPUK has been drawn into this dispute, OH has felt it neccessary to resign his membership of the LPUK, I am not sure why as the LPUK has not made any pronouncements on this subject at all. DK has taken some fairly forthri...

Today I get this from Mike Nattrasss, UKIP's MEP for the West MIdlands, KIP is gaining members because of Ken Clarke's return to the Tory front bench. "Clarke's views on Europe are so out of line with the bulk of the Tory Party membership that they simply cannot stand being in the same party any more." said Nigel Farage, UKIP leader. Mike Nattrass, UKIP MEP for the West Midlands sai...
