Last year, Gordon Brown wrote a book on courage only for it to emerge that he had anything but. This year he is to write a book on being British. Should we therefore assume it is about to be revealed that he is in fact French? Share This

If you ask me, New Labour is in the shitter. The government is up doo doo creek without a canoe. The excrement has impacted the proverbial fan for The Party. Yet, the only thing the papers and the news networks seem to want to talk about is Gordon Brown - Gordon Brown is in trouble, Gordon Brown might resign, Gordon Brown might face a leadership challenge, Harriet Harman might contest Gordon Brown...

If you see Gordon Brown, give him this for me. If you see Gordon Brown, give him this for me: Copy picture, print, cut out and place in the hand of Gordon Brown. He has been found guilty of destroying the economy. The spot marks the death of his political career. This is in no way a threat against Gordon Brown's person.

The existential angst of Gordon Brown Gordon Brown's strategists may now regret ever coining the phrase Not flash, just Gordon. Ever since the various attacks on his character have been at times ugly and largely unremitting.Gordon Brown attempts to get away from it all with his wife Sarah Even Guido's humourous fingering Gordon Brown for the McCain bounce (and the change in the weather) in the latest US Gallup poll in all its profound...

"The Prime Minister is not very inspiring." So said an American visitor who watched Gordon Brown in action today. It is hard to disagree with this observation, except to say that it errs on the side of understatement. Gordon Brown did nothing to inspire his own side. The cheers from the Labour benches were cheerless, the faces of Brown's people despondent. David Cameron walked all over Brown ...

Gordon Brown must be ousted, and quickly One year and a lost Henley deposit on, it's quite clear that Labour is doomed to defeat in 2010 if they are still being led by Gordon Brown. As Anthony King writes in this morning's paper, 71 per cent of people agree that "It's almost tragic: Gordon Brown so much wanted to be Prime Minister and now it seems he is not up to the job." This is terminal. Gordon Brown: now an 'almost tragic' figure? A...

It's a fortnight to go before Gordon Brown makes his make-or-break address to the Labour Party conference and the Conservatives are making some mischief. What should Gordon Brown apologise for? In her Guardian column last week, Jackie Ashley suggested that Brown would "go further than he has ever done before to admit personal failings", so the Tories are coming up with some suggestions o...

Gordon Brown claimed for a cleaner on expenses. He did this while provided with grace and favour home in Downing Street. The rules require that MPs can only claim for costs that are "wholly and necessarily incurred in connection with their parliamentary duties". A cleaner does not meet that test. Therefore Gordon Brown has broken the rules. But Gordon Brown says that any MP who breaks the rules ca...

Gordon Brown and I have one thing in common, but unfortunately I have found out he is way out of my league. We do both have private dentists. I pay a monthly amount into Denplan to cover the fees, but Gordon "I love the NHS" Brown, has gone one better. He has a £100 per hour private dentist at the exclusive London Centre for Cosmetic Dentistry. Is it do as I say, Gordon?
