I know I seem to be earning a reputation as a bit of a Clegg basher at the moment, but I am a bear of very little significance. Compare this with David Cameron’s latest jibe: Asked for his favourite political joke: “[Lib Dem leader] Nick Clegg, at the moment.” Ouch. This is a quote from

Nick Clegg - Tonight Matthew, I will be David Cameron! I've just watched Nick Clegg on the Andrew Marr show and I have come to a few conclusions. Nick has (in my opinion) aped David Cameron and duplicated Conservative policies (apart from on the EU) from the day he was installed as Lib Dem leader. This is a exceedingly dodgy strategy to lead the Lib Dems into the next general election. It could work out one of two ways: The Lib Dems could steal v...

Quietly pleased with David Cameron's performance tonight. The Lib Dem tails are already down - they were crushed on trident, immigration and banks. Clegg looked like he knew it at the end. Much better. PS Next time David Cameron needs to do something about Nick Clegg's attempts to use Labour's smears by letting Brown make then and preventing Cameron to answer.

The lovely Iain Dale interviewed David Cameron the other day, and has posted extracts of the interview on his blog. He’s also, depending on your point of view, EITHER courteously pointed out to the LDV team that Lib Dem leader Nick Clegg is mentioned in passing, OR has engaged in a massive blog link whoring project

Lib Dem Conference - Nick Clegg's fairytale speech. I've just had the great displeasure of watching someone do a exceedingly poor impression of David Cameron. In fact I had to stop watching for the sake of my blood pressure. Talking without notes, à la Cameron (but using very discreet autocue), Clegg set out a political agenda that proved that the Lib Dems will do anything and say anything to win votes. He promised tax cuts (this week) ...

Nick Clegg does seem to be keeping busy.  After his excellent work during the Gurkha vote,  which incorporated the first outing of the Clegg-Cameron coalition, today's Telegraph contains this revelation: "Nick Clegg, the Lib Dem leader, has privately authorised secret approaches to unhappy Blairites, trying to persuade them to join the Lib Dems instead of forming their own brea...

'Two Blondes' Cameron David Cameron’s monthly press conference this morning was a tale of two blondes. Asked if his appearance in front of the Gurkhas with Nick Clegg and Joanna Lumley was just a one-night stand, Mr Cameron laughed before pointing out to him that the question refers to his relationship with the Lib Dem leader - not the beautiful actress. The second blonde moment happened when he was asked about t...
