Puzzled because that would be way out of line with what the other polls have been saying. One email

Nick Clegg’s interview with the Sunday Telegraph today is a punchy affair. He derides the Tories as “the flaky party” on the economy and tells Melissa Kite that the Lib Dems are looking to go further than the 4p cut in the basic rate of income tax that they have already promised. Now, those of us who support easing the tax burden should be happy about this. A  Lib Dem policy...

Melissa Kite was the recipient of one of Damian Green's leaked Home Office documents. It concerned the case of an illegal immigrant working in the Commons. Liam Byrne, the then Immigration Minister was alerted but failed to come to Parliament to explain himself. The document then appeared in the Sunday Telegraph. Can amyone seriously argue that this was not a legitimate matter of public inter...

On 23 July this year I heralded a rare "Exclusive" on my blog entitled: "Brown vandalises Commons Despatch Box".  Today, seven weeks after my piece, Melissa Kite reveals (er, excuse me?) that the vandal of the Despatch Box is...Gordon Brown.  No hat tip for me in the article, for some reason :)  This should as no surprise. Melissa Shite hates bloggers. "Tory blogging is close to dea...

The IPSOS-MORI opinion poll showing the Conservatives on 52% has received extensive coverage in the past twenty-four hours and the Tory activists who now dominate politicalbetting.com have revelled in it and especially in the drop in Liberal Democrats support to 12% and we have seen the usual vilification of Nick Clegg. In fact, Nick Clegg has had a pretty good week at the Liberal Democrat Confere...

Nick Clegg has recorded an interview for the BBC’s Westminster Hour on Sunday about the challenges facing the Lib Dems. According to the BBC story, Clegg reaffirmed the blindingly obvious – that the Lib Dems are, and will remain, an independent party fighting elections against the Conservatives. On poll ratings, Clegg says  “I think it
