We can expect the Guardian to be all over this, can't we? Outraged squeals from Larry Elliott, Will Hutton and yes, our own beloved Polly? No? Look what's happening! A charity sells out of a productive UK business and then parks the money. No, they don't invest again in UK jobs, they're not supporting our economy,

“Britain’s broken economy – and how to fix it”, an ebook, is published today by Soundings. With a foreword from the Guardian’s Larry Elliot and an afterword from Jon Cruddas MP, this ebook aims to set out an alternative political economy for the British centre left.

Rumours have reached me of a falling out between Jon Cruddas MP, Compass' leading voice in Parliament, and Neal Lawson, the organisation's guru. Jon Cruddas, whatever his sometimes wrong policy calls, is a Labour Party man through-and-through in the best sense, and apparently takes exception to the wholesale embrace of Lib/Lab broad tent politics in Neal's latest article in the Guardian, which was...

There is much in Polly Toynbee's column in the Guardian today to rebut, mock and ridicule. However the important thing to take away from it is that the woman is going completely and utterly stark raving mad. I honestly fear for her mental health. Spinning in favour of Labour is bad enough, but in her attempts to land blows on the Conservatives, Toynbee is simply making it up as she goes along.

Polly Toynbee's article in today's Guardian starts out with a lot of rhetoric about "rottweilers" and "insidious poison". She writes as if we're Britain's only political campaign. In reality, there are a multitude of groups campaigning on every issue under...

In yesterday's Times there was an article suggesting that the Conservatives could unseat Jon Cruddas from his seemingly safe seat of Dagenham & Rainham. It's easy to see why. Cruddas has let the BNP support in the constituency mushroom. He's bleated about it but done bugger all to stem it. This week Jack Straw made a statement to the Commons announcing that a new prison woul...
