I've never liked party political conferences. First time I went to a UK Conservative Conference, I stayed in a B&B in Blackpool with Alun Cairns. I've never recovered properly. Anyway, I went to Llandudno yesterday to the Conservative Spring Conference. Only went for one very long day. Arrived at 8.00, and saw my Plaid Cymru opponent, Heledd Fychan parking up. Double take. Surely...

Only a vote for the Plaid Cymru will send a clear message to the political class that you want action Living in Wales, the choice isn't hard for me. Plaid Cymru, in its present incarnation, is a green, progressive, effective political force. I see little point in splitting the vote between parties with politics like mine.

Conservative MP Parks Illegally in Disabled Bay This is a picture of a Conservative MP's car parked illegally in a disabled parking bay! What do Plaid Cymru bloggers and supporters think about this abuse of a disabled parking space? Do they think that there were extenuating circumstances that allowed the MP to park there? Do they think that the person who took the picture is a fat arsed bastard with an axe to grind? Do they think that those who...

A letter to this morning's Western Mail from John Dixon, the Chair of Plaid Cymru and Plaid Cymru Environment Spokesperson, Leanne Wood seeks to bring some clarity to their party's policy on nuclear power. Unfortunately, all they have succeeded in doing is to raise more questions about Plaid Cymru's position on this issue and that of their leader. The letter itself seems unequivocal...

If anybody still harbours the misconception that Plaid Cymru is a liberal party or even a democratic one for that matter then this should quickly disabuse them of such a notion. According to the Western Mail, the student who e-mailed Ieuan Wyn Jones to complain about his party's unprincipled abandonment of a key election pledge has been booted out of Plaid Cymru. So much for their claims that...

Leanne Wood AM, Plaid member in the Welsh Assembly, just pointed out to me today’s article by Jim Jepps in the Morning Star, where Jim looks at the support or leack of it offered to trade unionists by the different political parties. Many in England are unaware how solidly pro-trade union Plaid Cymru are, so it

Plaid Cymru should change its name to "Welsh National Party" (WNP) and follow the SNP in Scotland. Plaid need also to start selecting council candidates and those who are not councillors should start campaigning, those sitting councillors stepping down should be training the new ones. Plaid need to start from the roots members, councillors. There is no reason why Plaid can't regain Caerphilly...

Plaid Cymru MPs have stated that their decision to use Parliamentary funds to hold the UK Government to account over the Iraq war was entirely appropriate and necessary. Plaid Cymru MPs commissioned research from leading specialists in legal and constitutional law as part of a Parliamentary motion to bring about the impeachment of Tony Blair. Parliamentary allowances are provided to ensure that al...

A Welsh Noted translation of a Politics Cymru post reveals that Plaid Cymru Assembly Members are becoming more committed to the introduction of top-up fees for Welsh students despite their manifesto promises to the contrary. All is not sweetness and light within their group however: In a press conference yesterday Elin Jones confirmed that she and her fellow Plaid ministers at the Assembly are pla...
