Image by Beau Bo D'Or Welcome one and all to the 262nd (or so) Britblog Roundup, bringing you the best in British blogging over the past week - fortnight, in this case. Plenty to get through, as ever, so let us begin. The big political stories this past couple of weeks have centred on an Englishman, a Scotsman and a - well, a Belizean, I guess. The passing of Michael Foot saw too many tributes to ...

I don't think there has ever been a week when blogging has been the subject of so much chat and perhaps that may be why there is so much confusion out there over what the nature of this beast actually is. I posted up a long though well received piece about the State of UK Blogging from a leading political company down in London. It turns out they had a glaring error in the text, as pointed ou...

At a quick glance, what do these towers in Seoul due to be completed in 2015 remind you of? Is this an example of edgy architecture, or is the design just a little to close to the image of ten years ago in New York City for comfort? I went to a talk by Frank Swain of Science Punk tonight on zines, blogging and making sweet websites. Pretty interesting I thought. I often don't go to forums on blogging or new media partly because I'm more interested in politics than the specifics of political communication and partly because so often blogging is taken completely out of proportion, portrayed as some kind of magic bullet but with...

Welcome to the first part of a new weekly series on political blogging which we’ll be running here on The Voice between now and Christmas. It’s designed primarily to be an introduction for anyone thinking of starting a political blog, but packed full of enough information to be useful for existing bloggers too. If the series

In light of this weekend's news involving Guido Fawkes, Derek Draper and (to a lesser extent) Iain Dale, I thought it was worth posting up this rather prescient synopsis of UK Political Blogging that I received by email a couple of months ago: Over recent years, the UK has witnessed an explosion of political blogs offering political analysis, comment and discussion of varying quality, along w...

I've dedicated the greater part of the last two years to this blog. I think I've done my bit for political blogging in Wales, and now I'm going into a blogging semi-retirement. In the year ahead I will post occasionally, perhaps once a month with a translation of an article or two from Barn, but I will no longer be keeping up with events in the political blogosphere. There are only so many hours
