The BBC's Parliament Channel is broadcasting their recording (from black-and-white film, by the look of it) of the 1964 General Election. It was an interesting election, in that although Labour won it from the Conservatives, they gained relatively few seats in the north of England, and in fact lost Smethwick to the Conservatives.
