In March, the House of Commons voted in favour of reforming the House of Lords making it either wholly or 80% elected. In March too, Justice Secretary Jack Straw announced the a draft bill to reform the Lords would be published within weeks. Only one problem. The first March was in 2007 and the second 2010. Three

The House of Commons returns on Monday to the thorny issue of House of Lords reform. Lords a Leaping The public disgust at the Stygian Stables that is Parliament, has propelled Jack Straw (is this a bit of panic methinks) to rush through Legislation to flush the House of Lords through, of convicted criminals, tax evaders and corrupt peers that frame our Laws.
