Its 1.30 am. I'm still at my keyboard - sitting here stunned by what I've done. I've just written a 550 word article for the Guardian newspaper. I've never even read the Guardian - except on holiday and when I cannot find a Telegraph or a Mail. Earlier today, the Deputy Editor rang our Welshpool office, and asked Pam for my contact numbers. Pam duly informed me. Being fore-warn...

My last blog entry demolishes Polly Toynbee's pathetic puff piece for Harriet Harman, masquerading as an article on Ghana - a subject on which she is almost totally ignorant. Toynbee's piece was published in the laughably misnamed Comment Is Free section of the Guardian. Several comments referring to my piece have since been deleted by Guardian moderators. The link to my article was publ...

Polly Toynbee's article in today's Guardian starts out with a lot of rhetoric about "rottweilers" and "insidious poison". She writes as if we're Britain's only political campaign. In reality, there are a multitude of groups campaigning on every issue under...

So she says in this morning's Guardian. It would give us all a break if Polly Toynbee resigned too.

Polly Toynbee shows her true partisan colours in jaw-dropping style in today's Guardian column:"Even if unemployment reaches 3 million, that still leaves 90% in secure jobs..." - Polly Toynbee

Guardian video after about 2 minutes Are Toynbee’s comments an attack or an excuse? In a New Year video the veteran Guardian columnist, Polly Toynbee, makes some highly pointed comments about Gordon Brown’s communication capabilities which I have not seen picked up elsewhere. She says of the PM “He’s not a very good speech maker. He doesn’t have

Polly Toynbee writes in today's Guardian:Conservative Brighton was a pioneer in holding a lottery in places for over-subscribed schools - which worked well. This bill should encourage all local authorities to do likewise. To people like Toynbee, children are not individuals with unique talents, interests and abilities. They are an undifferentiated mass that can be assigned anywhere as long as ...

A nimble two-step from The Guardian: 1. Polly Toynbee sends tweet encouraging all and sundry to take part in an open-access online poll being run by the BMJ. 2. The Guardian reports result of said BMJ poll. Then only thing missing, alas, is: 3. The Guardian then realises that reporting a voodoo poll which its

There is much in Polly Toynbee's column in the Guardian today to rebut, mock and ridicule. However the important thing to take away from it is that the woman is going completely and utterly stark raving mad. I honestly fear for her mental health. Spinning in favour of Labour is bad enough, but in her attempts to land blows on the Conservatives, Toynbee is simply making it up as she goes along.

In the Guardian, Polly Toynbee argues the that Conservative plan for retrenchment and thrift is economically illiterate. Today's FT has an excellent article by George Parker on Gordon Brown's new core team. Writing in the Daily Telegraph, Iain Martin says morality is making a comeback and argues that is bad news for Gordon Brown. William Hague uses an article for the Sun to explain why B...

If Polly Toynbee reads the hundreds of comments that her recent puff piece in CiF attracted she won't be a happy bunny. Just as Polly has spurned last year's dour lover in favour of this year's toyboy, Guardian readers have fallen out of love with Polly. The sheer vindictiveness of the left is a wonder to behold. Here at Raedwald Towers we've long known that Polly inhabited some strange parallel u...
