The old and the new…
It is a while since I have been on a building site,  but Wednesday afternoon found me booted and suited again in builder chic in order to visit our new Head Office, now a large concrete shell being fitted out. There was a purpose to the visit to do with Electrickery but we also got

The Home Office has been forced to amend its website after a user was directed to a Japanese pornographic site by mistake. A member of the public was diverted to the site while looking for information about anti-terrorism powers on the site of the Office for Security and Counter-Terrorism. He clicked on a link to an external site for the Technical Advisory Board, which advises ministers on interne...

There is little doubt that the site supposedly registered at Ieuan Wyn Jones' office address is a Labour attack site, a site designed specifically in order to enable Chris Bryant to repeat, under Parliamentary privilege, the slur that Plaid is a Tory stooge, which seems to be the Westminster Labour Party's main attack weapon against Plaid in the forthcoming Assembly Election. Look at the

The recent consultation event looking at the old Cashes Green Hospital site gave all the indications that the old hospital building would have to go - too expensive to keep. Photos: Old paper looking at threat to loss of project on site and below the former allotments at the Cashes Green Hospital site It is great that things are moving on this site - the community has waited far too long - see

Some people who blog on this site seem to think everything here is the official Conservative line and has been approved by Central Office. You should know that everything on this site is written by me. There are no ghost writers who get up at 6am to

After the rocky launch of the government’s new epetitions website, I started to wonder just how much was spent moving over to this system from the petitions on the old number 10 site. In order to get this information, I shot off a freedom of information request to the cabinet office on July 28th. Today I finally got my response.

As from today this site becomes not just www.johnredwood.com but also the regulated site of John Redwood, Conservative Parliamentary candidate for Wokingham. The main site will continue unchanged, whilst the materials for the Wokingham election will normally appear on the local issues pages. The whole site is being treated as an election expense and will

Circatex site cleared and ready for building It’s just over two years since South Tyneside Cllr. Eddie McAtominey declared that the former Circatex site at the rear of Frederick Street in South Shields would be made available for the building of new houses, and almost three years since I first blogged of the possibilities in 2006.

Disaster. Lawn mower conked out today. Luckily, we have a builder named Dennis on site, converting a farm building into a house. Now Dennis is an unusual man, in that he can do anything. I never had the slightest doubt but that he would fix my mower. He looked at it for a couple of minutes, fiddled a bit, and then hit what he referred as the solenoid with a hammer. Problem fixed.Reminded me of an ...

More on this story on South Norwich News and the Norwich Conservatives site, but it strikes me as mad that after all the work that the community and Conservative councillors did getting the site to be ready for house building, a 50ft phone mast is considered to be suitable right outside their windows. I genuinely hope that Labour, who last time there was a controversial mast application in Bowthor...
