Labour governments typically devalue the currency, run out of money, and preside over industrial chaos. Welcome to the spring of discontent. The 1945-51 government devalued the pound from $4 to $2.80. The 1960s Labour government

...Labour government pumps millions of taxpayers money into a union, union then donates shitloads of money for Labour's campaign funds... Surely that's money laundering? To think, Labour muppets everywhere were banging on about how terribe a non-dom giving money to the Tories was bad? What an absolute shower of bastards.

There is no such thing as Government Money. There is only Taxpayers money. I think it is time that this fact was brought home to many of the companies and organisations now in receipt of handouts, bailouts, support funds and loans being doled out by the Government in amounts never before dreamt of. The total amount of money that this government has given and guaranteed to the Banks, with the full ...

As a BBC news announcer gave out the round of story headlines this morning on the television, I heard this particular classic of its type connected to this story about extremism and universities: "Government money is no longer going to be given to Islamic extremists". First of all, there is, as readers of this blog know, no such thing as "government money". All money spent by government is, despit...

There is no government money. There is taxpayers' money and there is borrowed money. Obnoxious wastrels such as Charlie Gilmour can riot but tax receipts of £548bn and public expenditures of £697bn means his misplaced sense of entitlement is unaffordable. There is no fairy gold. The money belongs to the people.

Who would have believed the Labour party would take money from a children's charity ? That's right, money accrued by the charity to benefit children was instead used to help fun Labour's over draft. It worse than it looks as the charity, Catz Club, has a direct interest in government policy which it could benefit from. Apparently the sleazy Labour party is being forced to pay the &p...

So it is confirmed. We have negative growth of 0.5%, a much bigger figure than economic pundits had been predicting. To those who live in the real economy it will have not come as much of a surprise. The government's response to the economic problems seem, typically for Labour, to throw money at them. More spending, more borrowing, with barely a thought for the long term picking up of bills. ...

Ed Balls, the shadow Chancellor, has denied that the Labour Government was "profligate" when spending taxpayers' money as he refused to apologise for the previous administration's economic strategy.

Time for a Detox Hazel Blears, yesterday Further to Leg Irons superb post below, I can only add that NO Government has any money. The only money they can spend is yours. You earned it with your labour, be that sweat, blood, tears or intellect. Entrepreneurial skill or stacking shelves. They don’t care how. They WANT it. And New Labour are helping themselves to as much as they can. A tax on YOUR whole life (a...

Well that's what the headlines should say. The extra £50billion to be printed will mostly be given to the government to pay public servants in inefficient, but Labour voting sectors, and put off pulling the government finances out of their tail spin till after the June elections and maybe further. The money will be taken by stealth from all those of us who have the misfortune to have th...

On the doorsteps, and sometimes on this site, I get asked what would the Conservatives do about the economic problems? David Cameron yesterday said ” We will never forget there is no such thing as government money. It is taxpayers’ money – your money”.
