Clarke: Tax cuts mean trouble "Anybody who stands at the next election on a platform of tax cuts is asking for trouble." That’s what The Guardian has Ken Clarke saying this morning. It's an interesting one to come out with considering his leader, who is supposedly about to bring him back, recently pledged to abolish income tax on savings. The plot thickens.
