The McCain camp is in full scale meltdown after making jibes at “the pro-Obama Dungeons & Dragons crowd” (okay, I exaggerate slightly). This has lead to Wired running this rather imaginitive and amusing thread. Truth to tell, it is an odd target of Team McCain considering the physical resemblance of their candidate: moar funny pictures Share This

So John McCain lost and then conceded with real grace and dignity. But for those who think that there was an injustice done in the 2000 race for the Republican nomination and that he should have become President then, it has long been the contention that John McCain was appallingly treated by the George Bush campaign - particularly Karl Rove. Sarah Palin was the wrong VP choice for John McCain And...

This was a special moment from today's Meet the Press: TOM BROKAW: ... Among other things, Senator McCain has been very adamant about never raising taxes under any circumstances. That prompted this headline in the op-ed page of The Wall Street Journal from the commentator Daniel Henninger. He said, "Is John McCain stupid? Is John McCain losing it? He said on national television that to solve Socia...

Washington is a city with a short memory. Today as I did the rounds before heading to New York and then Boston for a few days holiday, John McCain’s name was barely mentioned as anything other than a footnote. But if Tuesday night marked the beginning of the end of McCain’s career in public service, he deserves a proper and full-throated vote of thanks. First of all, John McCain has se...

John McCain has asked for tomorrow’s debate to be cancelled. McCain is claiming that the economic crisis is too great, and he must go to Washington to deal with it - as if McCain is suddenly some sort of fucking economic savant, and the American people - what with all their economists and brilliant business ...

John McCain has chosen a Republican who I like to a degree: Sarah Palin. I thought that in order to trump Barack Obama, John McCain would need to pick a woman. I'm starting to get worried.....

John McCain is feisty and animated. He refers to his opponent as "Senator Obama". Barack Obama calls his rival "John". McCain needs to watch his devilish grin in the cutaway shots - it makes him look mean. He's looking down a lot too. He clearly doesn't like Obama. The physical difference between the two is very striking - Obama much taller and 25 years younger. McCain portraying himself...

Apparently John McCain was furious that Gordon Brown endorsed an Obama proposal supporting struggling homeowners. The press has been making much of how McCain sarcastically dubbed it the "Coveted Gordon Brown Endorsement". Some people are comparing it to John Major angering the Clinton administration. But circumstances are different. Clinton was president of the world's sole hyperpower. McCain

There are many who believe that John McCain's speech to the RNC was poor. I must beg to disagree. The main reason I enjoyed his speech - and I did watch it from beginning to end - was that this was John McCain being himself. He has never been a great orator and he would be the first person to admit that. He is though honest and steadfast in his beliefs. What you see is what you get with the s...

I can’t quite get over what has happened with this US presidential election. John McCain was doing so well, yet like a pacemaker in a national hunt horse race, McCain has flagged off badly and has gone from front runner to a fucking donkey on the verge of pulling up. Anyone who likes a bet, as
