The Scottish Government has decided to thoroughly debate with full Parliamentary scrutiny the plans to set a minimum price for alcohol. No doubt this will lead to some hysterical reactions from opposition parties about u-turns and such like. For me, I welcome the move, not just because it is the right thing to do but when you have so few policies left to discuss then it's probably a good idea...
