The list of lasts for George W. Bush is diminishing steadily and we are now down to four days before he leaves office. His final press conference was of a piece with his conduct in office- no regrets and no explanations. However in in his valedictory he continues to demonstrate just how unfit a President he has been. His comment on upholding the moral authority of the United States was surely desi...

It's not surprising that the photo library of John McCain with George Bush is getting vigorous usage by the Obama campaign (see latest ad below). George Bush now has a favourability rating of just 19%. That's the lowest ever for a US President since George Gallup started doing such polls in the 1930s. Bush was at that level before, but it was when the Iraq situation was far worse than it is now.

If George W Bush had been the first President to need a teleprompter installed to be able to get through a press conference, would you have laughed and said this is more proof of how inept he is on his own and is really controlled by smarter men behind the scenes? If George W Bush had spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to take Laura Bush to a play in NYC, would you have approved? If George W B...

George Bush: The end of an error - T minus seven Patton Oswalt on George Bush: “George Bush is not stupid. He’s evil. OK? There’s a huge difference between stupid and evil. “George Bush can speak perfectly well, just not when he’s being caring or compassionate or concerned about human beings. That’s when he stutters and says shit like ‘Hey it’s hard to put food on your family.’

A professor writes: Now I would like to enter these treacherous waters again and venture another prediction: within a year of the day he leaves office, and no matter who succeeds him, George W. Bush will be a popular public figure, regarded with affection and a little nostalgia even by those who voted against him and

In a wonderfully Onion-esque article, The Calgary Sun reports on former U.S. President George W. Bush's first public engagement since leaving office.  Bush is in Canada to address the Calgary Chamber of Commerce, but first stopped off in a local Italian joint. The story nabs some on-the-ground impressions from intrepid locals: Bush was a "funny and a down-to-Earth kind of guy. We ev...

Today marks the 7th anniversay of the September 11th terrorist attacks. 7 years ago the world changed forever and the paradigms of the Presidency of George W Bush and international relations as a whole were redefined in ways that will long out live his tenure. It is popular nowadays to trash George W Bush: the French do
