UKIP that is, over the European Arrest Warrant. The truly Kafkaesque bit about it is this: Foreigners, as a flight risk, are often refused bail and pretrial detention in some European jurisdictions can last years. Youi’re denied bail because you’re a flight risk….but the very existence of the EAW means that you’re not a

Observing US Airways Flight 1549 The blog i'm not sayin, i'm just sayin has put together a flight plan of US Airways Flight 1549 using the live flight tracking log at flightaware.com. According to the various news reports, less than a minute after takeoff the Airbus A320 apparently ran into a flock of birds somewhere over the Bronx Zoo. With engines in trouble and eventually going dead, the flight path indicates the air...

Videos of UKIP Leader Nigel Farage in full flight as he releases yet another Farage Barrage on a visiting dignitary along for a day out have been viewed by millions of people on YouTube, not only in Europe, but around the world. One of the finest verbal assaults on a pompous national leader was Mr Farage's attack on French President Nicolas Sarkozy. I was smiles all round, then the UKIP Leade...

Surprised to see today's publicity concerning a suggestion that UKIP and the BNP should consider an electoral pact by which the two parties stand aside for each other in the next General Election. I hope its not true. UKIP are denying it. I hope its not a case of there being no smoke without fire. This story is very damaging to UKIP, and there is clearly a problem. Two members of UKIP's ...

Tories v UKIP Just to prove that what I sounded (for the time being) was the Reveille, not the Last Post, here is an article about the latests brouhaha between UKIP and the Conservatives. Disregarding past experience the Tories have decided to go for what they consider to be their greatest enemy - UKIP. Tactically, this is about as stupid a thing to do as anyone can think of. Firstly, UKIP is a small party and,...

We are in to the last half hour of the . This time there is a real Dragon capsule, a vehicle which will be tested in orbit and then put through a re-entry, the first to be done by a private venture. This is a difficult sequence and even partial success is a major step forward. It is the second flight of a designed from the ground up launch vehicle; the first flight of a...

Having complained about British Airways and there poor customer services I was expecting to have a semi horrible flight. Now I hate flying it makes no difference if I am flying BMI or a budget airline like Ryannair I am still scared. The last flight I took, excluding Saturday, I discovered the bar on the plane was free so decided to see if Gin would calm my nerves and it did. So on this flight I d...

For the benefit of UKIP voters A rather laughable story is being reported by the BBC. Apparently UKIP have got the electoral commission to ask polling staff to stop folding ballot papers because it seems UKIP voters are so stupid they cannot work out that there is more than one fold, and are unable to undo both folds of the ballot paper, thus ensuring they cannot find UKIP on the ballot paper. So for the benefit of UKIP support...

It seems that Bob Spink no longer describes himself as a UKIP MP. Indeed, he says he has never been a member of the party, according to THIS article in his local Essex newspaper. How very strange. Do you think anyone has told UKIP? They list him on their website as a UKIP MP.

How well will UKIP do at the EP elections? Every other British political party has their eye off UKIP. First of all the 4th June European Parliament elections are happening a year or so before a general election and UKIP are not a threat at national level. So as Labour, Tories and Lib Dems shadow box for the national poll, so UKIP can pour all their
