Due to a slight delay in the schedule of the good folks working on my house, my internet access is currently very limited at the moment - meaning I am blogging from my phone (not cool). Hopefully the huge stack of articles on my laptop will start publishing over the weekend. Sorry for the unexpected break in blog content. -RaymondPublished with Blogger-droid v1.5.5.2

There has been much written over the weekend about blogs and blogging in general, especially in comparison with the established print media. I have a little piece about why I started blogging to come later, (It was a therapeutic exercise for me to write). But I wanted to have a bit of a say as well on where I see blogs and blogging in general. So leaving aside the “Why did I start a blog” ques...

A huge sorry to anyone that was hoping to see live blogging of the BNP debate. Sadly my internet connection decided to pack in about 9:30pm last night. I was really frustrated. Still I ‘live blogged’ it anyway and have posted it below. Hopefully those of you that didn’t see it will find it a useful catch up and those of you that did will have some views to contribute. - - - - - -...

March 31Two of my old favourites Wilted Rose and Andrew Allison are back blogging - go visit. Whilst blogging about blogging I must mention Buls. Their content is risible, but I do appreciate them giving me a platform to demolish their left-wing bilge. March 27An old mate of mine enjoyed the saying 'if you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem'. These NUTters are certainly not pa...

Yesterday I took part in a panel organised by 'Think About It' on blogging, bringing together nearly 100 people who blog on European matters. I was invited as I was the first ever MEP to start a blog. Here is the link to their new blogging portal which connects over 280 blogs on EU politics. Enjoy! www.bloggingportal.eu

Hey everyone, apologies about the lack of blogging recently; I've just moved home and have no Internet for 2 weeks. For those who follow my twitter (therightstudent), you will know how appalling Sky customer service is. I will try to blog when I'm in uni on Tues and Weds but other than that I find it impossible. Please add me on twitter or facebook and you'll know when blogging is r...

I don't think there has ever been a week when blogging has been the subject of so much chat and perhaps that may be why there is so much confusion out there over what the nature of this beast actually is. I posted up a long though well received piece about the State of UK Blogging from a leading political company down in London. It turns out they had a glaring error in the text, as pointed ou...

Today I will be writing a 2,000 word article for the British Journalism Review on the subject of whether anyone in this country could ever earn a living from blogging. Does anyone ever start a blog with the intention of making money from it? How do bloggers make money from blogging? If you fancy giving me a hand, leave some suggestions in the comments!

ORWELL PRIZE FOR BLOGGING Phil at AVPS recently posted up which ten articles he would be submitting for the 2010 Orwell Prize for blogging. Phil wrote a quite interesting article last year in response to the first Orwell blogging prize. There was some controversy, as Phil explains: “The prize caused a bit of ripple on the left - mainly because the

Whenever blogging seems a chore, it's best not to bother. The list of former bloggers grows ever longer with Daily Referendum now claiming to be throwing in the towel. The reason, Steve Green explains, is that he's spending up to 12 hours a day doing it! Why not just stop for a while, Steve, and then when you feel inclined, start again? For me blogging began as a way to cope with an illn...
