Via Liberal Conspiracy, I come across the thoughts of the Independent's John Rentoul, one of the very few Blair-fanciers left on the face of the planet: Just to prove my utter devotion to the finest peace-time prime minister, I confess my reaction when I read that the Tony Blair Faith Foundation Facebook page had been defaced with, among others, this comment: "Tony Blair was about as good for...

I voted for Tony Blair as Labour leader in 1994; I voted for him again to become Labour prime minister in 1997. I soon learned my lesson. As Prime Minister, he failed. Not so much domestically: sure, he disappointed but show me a political leader who doesn’t. But in foreign policy, Mr Blair was an

As prime minister, Tony Blair knew how to use sport to political advantage. Now he wants to use it to change the world. I tip my hat to the Independent’s John Rentoul for highlighting Tony Blair’s address to the Institute for Government entitled, How to Be Prime Minister, held at the end of June. In it Mr Blair commented, The British

I have a feeling one of Tony Blair's favourite songs is 'Me and my Shadow.' I imagine it is not a favourite of Gordon Brown. Once again Blair beats Brown to it. Just as our prime minister is champing at the bit to meet the new President of the United States, in rides Tony Blair and meets up with him first. I can hear the sound of mobile phones smashing.

Tony Blair will be reading this in today's New York Times and purring with pleasure. Tony Blair: more American than Barack Obama? The former Prime Minister already has plenty to purr about. We learned earlier this week that he has trousered £12 million in the year or so since he exited 10 Downing Street - much of it from the US lecture circuit where he gets more bucks per word than Bill...
