I have made a number of comments on this posting by John Redwood, basically Redwood is a high minded Libertarian lost in the swamps of the Conservative Party, his voting for Maastricht I fail...

Redwood - To referendum or not to referendum? John Redwood could be using his normally independent blog as a sounding board for a very important Tory policy today. It's all to do with one of David Cameron's leading problems - the Lisbon Treaty. I've posted on why this is so difficult for David before, so I won't go over it all again. As pointed out in the comments, there is in fact a

John Redwood wins Newsnight Finally the BBC invites John Redwood onto Newsnight. We had some ex-member of the MPC, followed by Angela Eagle and the ever BBC present Red Vince Cable - giving variations on how wonderful things are - but not explaining the problem to the public. Then came an quietly angry John Redwood. First he explained that he was the only one of the 4 people being interviewed to take a different line from th...

As far as I’ve been able to find our, Cllr Robin Smith (Conservative) is the same as Robin Smith, Independent Parliamentary candidate in Wokingham, where the Conservative candidate is one John Redwood. Curious.
